Can A Comdata Card Register A Efs Check
-
Just got hired yesterday and discovered that payroll is done through the same card as the fuel and other expenses like tolls or limpets. Practise the funds always go mixed up? Do you apply your carte like an ATM carte and get hit with a fee every time? It seems odd that my pay and their expenses happen under the same business relationship. And the COMCHEX seem like a pain in the rear. Is this fix upwardly mutual in the manufacture? Any comments or communication is appreciated.

Does'nt that company have direct eolith or do you not have a bank business relationship?Back when I had comdata,in that location was a fee and glitches in the carte.Information technology was more than of a pain then annihilation. That was yrs ago but I still take the carte believe it or not and is at present one of my many rulers, lol.

I have bank accounts. But their "straight deposit" is to the comdata card. Your comments are the exact type of situations I see coming down the road. I don't feel comfortable with it only they seem like a practiced company otherwise.
-
That's the way May does. Your pay is on a separate "side" of the Comdata carte and doesn't get mixed in with fuel/truck transactions. Yes there are a lot of fees unless it had changed. When money is first loaded into your card for payroll yous have one "free" transfer/withdrawals and so you can transfer it to yor bank account or withdrawal from ATM. Additional transfers/withdrawals usually cost $i-$3 which is taken directly off your carte du jour/out of your funds whether it be transferring more money to bank account or pulling coin off carte du jour. Best to transfer all your money to bank account then apply your debit/credit card. Comchek isn't that bad once you go used to it. They load money onto yor Comdata card, then you write out the cheque. And so yous call Comdata and follow the prompts, enter in your carte number and countersign and authorize the bank check. After y'all authorize check, it will give you a potency code that you write down on the check. Write downwardly the check number/amount/engagement/load number/truck and trailer on check stub receipt to ship in with your BOL'south to the visitor. It is fairly standard, EFS/TCH works aforementioned style for checks.

No, not in my experience. The visitor and personal accounts are completely different... they just happen to be linked to the same card.I put some cash on the personal side every pay period for a couple of reasons. First, it's funded a day before than my direct eolith, and second if the direct deposit get's screwed up somehow, I have some access to greenbacks. Yep, every time you use an ATM you get to pay a fee. It's the same with your bank account, and then what's the big deal? They are completely different accounts. Its done that way for your convenience.
Information technology's but equally much of a pain every bit your carrier makes information technology. When I need a Comcheck funded for something, I just send a QUALCOMM bulletin to dispatch, and in a few minutes information technology's washed. One telephone call to an automatic line at Comdata funds the bank check. How is that a pain? Information technology'south done that manner as a security measure to protect you and the carrier. Do yous actually want to be carrying large amounts of cash making a delivery in downtown Detroit at ii AM?Is it common? You betcha, almost all the carriers do information technology that way using Comdata or a similar service. It makes it a lot harder for the crooks to rip you off.

Wow , that's gonna be something I have to await into besides , I accept seen where some companies say they will split your pay like put some in your bank acct via direct deposit , and and then put however much you want on your comdata carte du jour is this true ? Does anything ever get messed up ? I guess all companies are different and then those are maybe loaded questions .

Ditto what Ironpony said. My visitor does it the same way, the only difference with me is my payroll is direct deposited every other week into my checking account. As far as lumper fee'southward or any other truck related expense it all gets loaded on the bill of fare. I can either use information technology as an ATM card, similar at a lot of nutrient D/C'southward that have an ATM on the holding, or just get a comcheck registered and use the check. I don't have cash advances, use the card for payroll issue, it'southward used but for truck expenses, and then the questions you bring up have nix to do with my pay getting mixed upwardly with truck expenses.

Lots of carriers will carve up your pay into dissimilar accounts, institutions, etc. I've never had a problem with it. Y'all take to have admission to cash for a lot of picayune expenses on the road... toll booths don't accept plastic or checks. Make certain you keep your receipts.

Sorry if a company told me they where going to put my pay on there Combata card or what ever card they employ, I would have thanked them for the consideration to work for in that location company and left, Directly eolith for me, My They just have Fashion to much command if its on their carte. not happening

I'll say if yous play the ATM game and check fees you can easily spend over $500 a year. That'south money I like to proceed.
Whether you employ a home banking company or they fifty-fifty take these Visa debit cards you tin can load fifty-fifty with directly deposit. Either of them is a much amend option than a Comdata Card. You lot can't apply the Comdata card like a debit carte du jour and they've been promising that since I started driving in 1995.
Once you take a debit card you tin can pay for all purchases with plastic. You tin employ information technology online. If you need cash y'all tin can get cash back for FREE. If you need larger sums of cash you lot tin can go to a grocery store customer service desk and get $200 or more for FREE. I have gotten $500 before at a grocery store.
Your visitor can't force you to use a certain cyberbanking establishment. Enquire about direct eolith options. That sounds like a lazy lying payroll person to me since they do Comdata over their figurer with a few clicks.
I played the Comdata game when I first started driving and learned in that location is much meliorate options. What woke me up was watching a guy withdraw his payday at a fuel desk-bound. He had six Comdata checks written out because there is a limit. Attached to each cheque was a $3 fee. xviii x 52= $936. That'south simply wasted money. ATM'due south do the same thing and the withdraw limits get smaller and smaller while the fees get up. It might not seem much at the time but information technology adds upwards quickly. You drive a whole week for free just to pay the fees.
