Ross Course & Department Numbers

Undergraduate/BBA

  • You will be registering for courses with course/catalog numbers of 400 and below (e.g. MKT 313 or FIN 412).

  • Y'all are eligible to register direct for nearly Ross courses with department numbers in the 001-009 number range (e.grand. for ACC 300.009, the section number is "009").

  • Grade sections with numbers outside of this range (east.m. ACC 300.311) are currently reserved for other student populations, in this case our Pocket-sized in Business students.

Graduate/MBA

  • You will exist registering for courses with itemize numbers of 500 and above (e.g. MKT 611 or FIN 580).

  • Yous are eligible to register directly for near Ross courses with department numbers in the 001-009 number range (e.g. for ACC 711.001, the section number is "009").

Ross Course Prerequisites

Some classes have enforced "Course" prerequisites. Wolverine Access will not allow you to register for these courses on your own.

If you have taken a like course at your dwelling institution and wish to take this course, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete this eForm to request a form permission. Y'all do not need to contact faculty members or plan offices for a course permission. You may need to provide supporting documents (e.g. transcripts or syllabus) to show that you have taken courses similar to the prerequisites. The Ross Registrar'south Role volition review your asking and will contact you with the advisable next steps. Course permission requests volition be processed in the club they are received.

  2. If you are currently on the waitlist for a class, y'all should not complete this course. The Ross Registrar's Office will issue permissions to eligible students on the waitlist when/if there is an open up seat in the order of the waitlist.

How Practice I Register for Classes?

  • The Ross Registrar's Office will work with you in preparing for course registration. They will only ship emails to your U-Yard email address, so please check your e-mail account regularly. For important dates and deadlines, please refer to the Academic Agenda.

  • There are two routes for course registration depending on the timeline you complete your Thousand-Compass application, are admitted to Ross, and take set upward your U-M uniqname. The Ross Registrar's Office volition give yous instructions of which process to follow.

  • Note: You will still be able to register for your classes, regardless of participating in class bidding or not.

Route A: Backpack/Registration

(Typically Fall semester students)

Wolverine Access is an extensive student service center at U-M. You will primarily utilise it for course registration (adding and dropping classes).
